Reader’s theater is a valuable activity for English Language Learners because:
•The best way to learn a second language is through conversational language
•Dialogue is mostly conversational
•Reader’s theater is mostly dialogue and is read with meaning, expression, and inflection
•Comprehension and understanding is gained by listening to words being read in context
