Reader’s Theater for Elementary School

While reader’s theater is great for all grades K-12, students in elementary school take to it like a moth to a flame! These kids still have that “no fear” attitude towards reading and speaking in front of their peers that children tend to lose in the 6th grade. In middle school, kids are more worried about what is cool and tend to become inhibited. This is also why reader’s theater is important in middle school so these students have legitimate opportunities to still speak and read in front of their peers. At all grade levels, opportunities to express one’s personality is vital to confidence.
